Join the Conversation

The IEEE Computer Society is pleased to announce Instant Communities as a method to enhance technical communications and collaboration. These may result in conference tracks, workshops, future publications, books, webinars, tutorials, etc.  Most critically, these do not require any approval process -- as a CS member, you can have a new community up and ready for folks to join in a matter of a few minutes.  In this community you will find documentation, information, and message boards on the topic of Instant Communities themselves.

Prepare

You’ll need to login with a free web account to join the conversation.   Members of the IEEE Computer Society already have a web account.  You can retrieve your username or password here.  If you are not a member, you can either join the Computer Society, or register for a web account.

Choose

Choose your topic.  See if your topic is already part of the conversation by looking in the Instant Communities Directory.  If the topic exists, then you can go directly to the relevant community.  If not, and if you are a Computer Society member, then you can create your own community and begin a fresh discussion.

Participate

The conversation continues using many different ways to communicate and collaborate.  Blogs, wikis, message boards and more are all available.  In short -- a chance to connect with a set of your colleagues, ones you know, and others you may not know, world wide, to initiate your discussions.
